Superhero Tony Stark

Good superhero movies do exist.
After The Hulk, I was a little bit disappointed. When Spiderman 3 got released, I didn't have much fate anymore in comic adaptions for the big screen. Spiderman 2 was nice, but Spiderman 3 was kind of OK-ish, some people even really disliked Spiderman 3. Do I also need to mention Daredevil and Fantastic Four to illustrate things here?

2008, maybe it's time for a change? The premiere of Iron Man took place in The Hague on the 16th of April. Australia and the Netherlands were the first who held a premiere for Iron Man. The premiere took place in a big theatre, the newly opened theatre by Pathè attracted a lot of attention. A couple of hundred of people who received an invitation were lucky to see Iron Man that day as one of the first. Big posters of Iron Man everywhere, the several commercials and trailers were shown on TV. After all this promotion, I tried not to expect much of Iron Man. Spiderman 3, Daredevil and The Hulk all contributed to my disappointment for comic adaptions. Iron Man officially got released on the 1st of May here. I didn't go to the cinemas for quite a long time, so I decided to give Iron Man a chance. I watched Iron Man a couple of days after the official release date, so you can expect a review soon!

Summer is coming!
Sitting in the big cinema chair, watching the endless ads, finally the first trailer! Sex and the City: The Movie, hmm not that exciting to be honest. More trailers appear, Indiana Jones 4, What Happens in Vegas, yes this seems more like it. More movies for this Summer are The Incredible Hulk (hmm ...), Hell Boy II, The Dark Knight, Mama Mia!, Speed Racer and others. The many popcorn and blockbuster movies are a sign that Summer is definitely coming.

I'm quite looking forward to some movies, but Sex and the City: The Movie? I'm not so sure about this. The Hulk wasn't that great and now there's going to be another part. Edward Norton as the green man in The Incredible Hulk? We'll see how things turn out.

Like DareDevil (at least the Directors cut on DVD). Hated Spiderman 3. Loved Iron Man.

To be honest, I was getting to the point where I was tired of seeing comic book movies until Iron Man and with the exception of The Dark Knight I was going to stop watching them.

Still can't say Iron man has made me think the Hulk may be any better this time around. I'll wait for DVD or maybe even TV for that one.

As for the other big summer movies, I'm looking forward to Indy and hope so much that they don't destroy a nice trilogy with this new instalment. Other than that though Sex & The City looks awful and Mama Mia and Hellboy 2 don't interest me. I wanted to like Hellboy a lot but honestly I can't stand that movie or Del Toro's wildly overrated Pan's Labyrinth either.

Yes, I'm looking forward to The Dark Night as well.

The Hulk has been on TV too many times if you ask me, they show this movie like every year.

About Hellboy, it was OK at the time I watched it (I watched this in an airplane, do I need to say more :p ?). * I don't like Pan's Labyrinth, I found myself fast forwarding throughout the whole movie and at the end I was like: "So what?". Definitely overrated, I agree with you.
